Marie-Emmanuelle Laquerre

Professeure, Université du Québec à Montréal

Marie-Emmanuelle Laquerre (Ph.D. en communication) est professeure au département de communication sociale et publique à l’UQAM et membre de l’équipe de recherche InterActions. Elle possède une expertise en recherche qualitative et ses travaux se penchent sur l’intégration sociale des immigrants, l’intervention en contexte de diversité ethnoculturelle et l’adaptation des services publics et communautaires dans le but d’en favoriser l’accès et de mieux répondre à la diversité. Ses recherches portent actuellement sur la proche aidance dans un contexte migratoire et plus spécifiquement sur les jeunes proches aidant.es des communautés ethnoculturelles minoritaires issus de l’immigration. S’inscrivant dans une approche interculturelle systémique, et étant reconnue pour ses interventions qui favorisent l’inclusion des personnes immigrantes dans la société d’accueil, elle collabore régulièrement avec des organismes communautaires et des instances municipales qui souhaitent développer une approche plus inclusive et plus sensible aux réalités des personnes des communautés ethnoculturelles minoritaires.
