Emmanuelle Khoury

Professeure agrégée, École de travail social, Université de Montréal

Emmanuelle Khoury, Ph.D., est professeure agrégée à l’École de travail social de l’Université de Montréal. Travailleuse sociale de formation, elle a travaillé en clinique et en gestion dans différents services de psychiatrie. Ses recherches portent sur la manière dont le langage, les relations sociales et les idées que nous avons sur la santé mentale influencent la pratique du travail social. Elle s’intéresse aussi à mieux comprendre comment intégrer des pratiques participatives et alternatives auprès des jeunes personnes qui ont des suivis en santé mentale.  Elle explore aussi les écarts entre la théorie et la pratique pour mieux comprendre les défis du terrain en travail social. Elle privilégie des approches qualitatives et ethnographiques, qui permettent d’aller en profondeur dans la compréhension des expériences vécues.
